Exactly. He answered a question that wasn't asked and is now whining like a
bairn as he tries to puke his dumb error back up after it was shoved down
his throat. ;-)


No actually I was providing another alternative to Ian's advice that
the poster should buy an optical cable. Ian stated Optical is cheaper,
I pointed out that that is not the case.

I don't think trying to save an unsuspecting newbie from spending
unnecessary money on an optical cable, or worse an overpriced 'digital
coax'.

I would be very suprised if anyone that owns a home cinema system
didn't have at least one 'free' phono pair lying around.
