Default Laptop DJ Soundcard Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for laptop sound cards? I'm looking for
one capable of professional DJ use with a large sound system, and with two
separate outputs (one for headphones and one for speakers). e.g. is the Echo
Indigo any good (http://www.echoindigo.com/index.html)?

Also, any recommendations as to the best place to purchase this hardware
from within the UK?

TIA.

I have several Echo products including the Echo Indigo. Very good drivers
and great sound. There are better cards (Apogee, Grace, Benchmark) you
could use but not in the price range of the Indigo.

All the Echo cards I have the pleasure to use are fantastic. I can't
imagine they've let slip with the Indigo series.

You might want to check out the Hercules DJ Console:
http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/HER100.shtml

This functions as a USB soundcard (with two independent stereo outputs
- so you can have a different feed to headphones) but also includes a
control surface, WAV/WMA/MP3 DJing software, MIDI in/out, digital out,
effects, etc.

I think it costs a little bit more than the Indigo DJ (you were looking
at the DJ version weren't you? I think that's the only one with two
*independent* stereo outputs) but might be worth considering if the
other stuff is of use to you.
