Default Merlin mains cables, which is better Red Back or Funnel Web ?

Does anybody out there know which is supposed to be a better mains
cable? I can't find any info on the Red Back anywhere on the web.

Use Red wires for the Redcurrents and Black wires for the Blackcurrents
and the Green wire for the Greengages and you wont go far wrong.....

Yep.

Stuff that carries the required current at the required voltage without
overheating or getting your fingers zapped. There's a big choice!

Silicone, and if IEC connector to the equipment then a quality one.

You'd be amazed at how many bad IEC connectors there are,
and how weak connections quickly overheat, carbonise and so
become a high resistance connection and end up melting/smoking.


Alternatively, putting the $ on the stuff to listen to first of all :-)
