Default Quad 909 99 question?

I found out today, if you open the Quad 909 power amp, it has jumpers that
can alter the gain to match the Quad 99 power amp.

So with jumpers moved, I have used them both to bi amp a set of B&W Natilus
804's see what it sounds like 909 powering the bass and the 99 the hf

NOW the 909 is 140 watts per channel and the 99 is 90 watts per channel.

Is then moving the jumpers cutting the output of the 909 to 90 watts?

regards

Dave xxxx
