Default Soundproofing

I saw a post about this a bit further up and thought I'd add my ten pennorth
down here.

I used to help out at a large loft recording studio, it was in a row of
terraced houses, the bloke who owned it attached old carpets to the walls
and laid them on the floor, I know the floor had six you could count them on
the hatch, I don't know how many he attached to the walls. Then he made a
false floor and walls.

Even with a band playing you couldn't hear a thing in the bedrooms, we used
to ask them to play loud in order to check it.
