Default Phillips CD recorder 796

My twin cassette tape recorder which I've used for recording off the
radio is on it's last legs and wants replacing. I've only just found
out about CD recorders and quite like the look of the Phillips 796. I
can't seem to be able to find any reviews about it and would like to
know does anyone have one and what do they think? May thanks.

I'd have thought a Minidisc recorder would be a far more suitable choice
for this application.
