The Copland is a very well built machine.

I haven't really played it enough to say how good it is. it's miles
better than my Cambridge audio CD640 Azure, but then it ought to be!

I'm getting a Shanling also to compare.

That catalogue is no where near a full list. I have bought quite a few HDCD
lately and none are on the list. There seems to be lost of HDCD in the country
and folk Americana music genres.

BTW how do you like the Copland, I'm looking to upgrade and that is on my
shortlist?

Oh no!! I was thinking of buying a Cambridge audio CD640! What's wrong
with it? Or are we talking about a huge price difference/sound quality
difference?

One costs £250, the other £1200...

The Cambridge sounds great for the money, you have to spend a shed load
more to improve on it. It also comes with the finest remote you will
ever find.

The 640 amp has a motorised volume knob that turns itself down if you
overdrive the amp!
