I have been sent this pic;

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/keit...ow/greenie.jpg

by Phil Ramsey of http://www.bluebellaudio.com/ of a pair of 300B Monos with
matching Line Stage that he has just built for sale, with the following
description:

"Enclosed picture of 300B monoblocks & line driver pre amp. All hand built,
point to point. Audio note transformers. All caps are Cerafine, Black Gate &
paper in oil. 300B current adjustable from 70ma to 80ma. Simply stunning
sound. Finished in forest green Hammerite. Built to last 100 years."

If anyone is interested in these (no idea of the price but it will be *way
less* than shop prices), please contact Phil direct (01382 322990)

(No connection other than he supplied the parts and circuit for my own
Triode Project**)

......and I said I would publicise them here for him, in case anybody was
interested.

**which was actually described as 'staggering' in an unguarded moment by the
King Of Cool and Knower Of All Things Audio-Related (Shiny Nigel) during a
bit of a sesh last night.... ;-)

(See also other post due shortly re. speakers.....)

That's a bit washed out. Try this...

Ooh! That's much better! :-)

I never thought to fiddle with it! (Not my pic and I never fiddle with pix
anyway, other than maybe crop 'em a bit.....)

Many thanks Paul - reposted thus:

And while you're there - have a listen to this clip (open mic, CD playing):

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/keit...wampclip02.mp3

Wind it up a bit** and then tell me how weedy 4 watts sounds!

(Warning - I find it addictive!)

Also, while I'm on - anyone *know* of a reasonably priced standmount speaker
that is *particularly* suited to low power valve amps? Right now, I'm
getting the best sound (incisive, crystal clear with pin-sharp imaging) from
a pair of cheapo Wharfedale Diamond 8.2s!

(That can't be right, can it? ;-)

**Feck that, wind it up *large*!!!
