Default re-labeling tracks

Hi
My son is learning the bass and has a cd for it.
The tracks are labeled in a stupid fashion. I've had the same problem myself
with other instructional cd's.
I've copied them to mini disc and cut the tracks the way I want.
But I wish to go one stage further. I wish to then take it back onto cd with
good track labeling or go from cd to cd burning different track labels.
I have a personal MD player, CD player, CD burner on my PC, Nero and
Realplayer. Is there an easy way?
Ian
