I've decided it's time I replaced my Philips CD104 player with
something a bit more modern. I'm looking for a player which can also
handle MP3 tracks. So far I've only found the Marantz CD7300. Does
anyone know of any others? TIA
Nick.

Can't comment on the audio quality, but most DVD players from £50 upwards
(and probably less the way it's gone lately) will play audio CDs and MP3
CDs.

Yes, the eBench KH6777 (?) currently all of £30 at Lidl's is perfectly
capable of playing CD/R/RW and MP3 as well as being a perfectly good DVD
player with Progressive Scan *and* Component Video, would you believe?

Might be worth a look before parting with £240 on the Marantz if you think
it's overkill other than the MP3 capability.

A 'no-brainer' (as they say) in my book......

;-)
