Default behringer mic100 ultragain tube? opinions?

hi all
anyone have any opinion on this unit?
I am hoping to use it as a mic preamp for my studio projects C1 and ALSO i
was hoping to connect my (non active) electric guitar straight into it, just
for getting the best signal into the computer, where i will use amp
modelling software. Is it suitable for this purpose? Was it designed just
for mics, or will it do guitar DI just as well?

Thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's no Focusrite or anything like that,
but for the money I really can't complain. I think I paid about £35 for it,
did a direct A/B comparison between it and the pre's in my Digi001. I know
these are not the best pres (to say the least), but the Mic100 is as
detailed, with a nice bit of valve warmth.

Conclusion; good for the money, but if you spend a bit more, you'll get a
lot more pre-amp.

Pete.
