Default What chance Denon D-M31 upgraded with DAB?

As I'm in London, getting a DAB radio has some attractions. I've seen mini
CD/DAB receivers from Onkyo, Teac, Pure etc. but the reviews suggest the
sound quality is generally worse than a Denon D-M31. So should I wait before
buying, in the expectation that Denon will want to feature match these new
systems by adding DAB to its product?

Umm..DAB apart from radio 3 isn't what most anyone would describe as hi-
fi or anywhere near it audio.

Have a listen first and if you like it fine, but I wouldn't give one
house room... DAB receiver that is, in fact I had one once but swapped
it for something more useful......

It depends on if all you're interested in is the audio quality under ideal
circumstances.

DAB gives a much wider choice of stations than FM, and as a portable
doesn't suffer from multi-path reception problems that FM often does.

In an ideal world, it would have at least equal quality to the best FM,
but then it probably wouldn't have the same choice of stations.

Do bear in mind that Dave lives in one of the most RF challenged areas
in the country)

Choice?, Humm....

yes if your in London, but it ain't necessarily so elsewhere in the
country where SAT or DTV is a better bet......
