Hi,
I need some help - just got some new separates, my first venture past
packaged mini hifi's.
I bought some TDL Studio 10 and they sound great but darling Son used
one
speakers as a punchbag and has pushed one of the plastic domes on the
speaker
so that its now inverted. I have a couple of questions:
1. Does it matter ?
2. How can I get it back - I thought that I could catch it with a
piece of sticky tape and pull it out.
3. Anyone fancy some baby sitting - I'll send him to your house !!!!

That can work. Some have sucked them out!

No, I've grown beyond that but you might consider electrostatic
speakers to insure he'll do it no more than once more.

Very careful use of the round end of a vacuum cleaner hose might do the
trick.

That can work. Some have sucked them out!

My worry about this is that you can 'pop out' an inverted driver so it
looks OK, but the portion that was folded/stressed may now have altered
mechanical properties. So the sound may be affected, or the life expectance
reduced.

I have seen a dealer in a shop use a needle to pierce and pull out a popped
in unit - bit like getting a winkle out of its shell. I would *not* buy
speakers from this dealer. :-)
