EARANCE
Better than Sennheisers IMO.
Have they fixed that excessive HF yet?
They do not have "excessive HF" you insolent git.
I see they still believe in the Basil Fawlty approach to salesmanship at
Turnkey .
What they have is a
slight presence peak,
A slight presence peak, eh?
in contrast to the Sennheisers which begin (and
proceed) to roll off above about 3Khz. The Beyer's have equally as
flat an overall frequency response, arguably flatter. Pick the contour
*you* prefer. If you like a smoother sound go for the Sennheisers. IMO
the Beyer's offer greater realism.
Well, one man's greater realism is another man's excessive HF, as I'm sure
you will appreciate.
I note that Christopher Breunig's review of the HD650 corroborates my
findings on these headphones. He described an ambience overlay and
"pink wash" with the Sennheisers. I've heard the Sennheisers side by
side with the Beyers, and I concur with Mr Breunig's findings.
If you and Christopher Breunig agree, then it must be so.
