Default Analogue vs Digital

How about the vinylphiles who swear that a Garrard 401 or Thorens 124

A 401 is the best way to spin vinyl.

A 3009 and a V15 is the best way to replay vinyl,
unless the remasters are out on CD.

These remarks were not considered to be universal truths even in 1964
(OK, '74 for the V15), while in 2004 they are simply risible, with the
possible exception of the V15, which rivals the Porsche 911 in terms
of continuous development of a single model!
