Anyone know of such a thing at a reasonable cost? I realise Vellerman do
a VCA type, but the actual audio quality isn't good, and it defaults to
zero if powered down. A kit without case and PS would be fine as it will
be built in. Or a complete unit if cheap enough.

**Funnily enough, I had a request from a client last week for just such a
thing. The local electronics stores used to sell them as kits, but no
longer do. I tracked down the PCB supplier, who still has some boards
left. He also has the microprocessors available as well. I will be
ordering a kit for my client. I will be using an ALPS 'Blue Velvet' pot
for my client. Let me know if you want me to secure another PCB and micro
for you.

Do you know who made the kits?

**Yes. They're locally assembled (here in Australia).

Is there a published circuit diagram?

**Yes. I'll post more information, as I recieve it.

Excellent. Looking forward to it.

P.S. Whereabouts in OZ are you?

I don't know what's reasonable cost to you, but you could have a look
he http://electronics.dantimax.dk/

Thanks, but they appear just to supply the bare pots. I'm really looking
for one which includes the remote operation hardware.

You can get all the parts needed. Look under Kits Remote1 for
instance.

I guess I should add that they are my designs, so if there's anything
you want to know just ask.

Right. I've ordered them but have found out my UK bank can't do an
electronic transfer to yours. So much for technology.

I've sent you an e-mail. ;-)
