A molten anode? Chances are there was a pretty hefty burst of x-rays
as that one went phut. Lead knickers for you!

More a case of lead knickers for his *roadie* actually. He was the
culprit !

Jeez, I could *smell* that just by running the movie clip!!

:-)

Doesn't impress me though - when I wuz a little lad and it was too wet to go
outside, my mother sometimes used to give me and my sister a loaf of bread,
butter, Marmite, jam etc. and we used to amuse ourselves making toast in a
toaster in which the sides came down on springs. My favourite trick was to
put the bread on the (sprung) side and let it snap up to the toaster.
Frequently (like often) the toast would stick and start to smoke. I prised
it off the element with my knife no end of times without ever knowing what
the furious slapping on my elbow was..... ;-)

painful!!!

Heh heh! You'll need to 'accessorise' then - see:

http://store.yahoo.com/sanriostore/h...niversary.html

Me? - I'd settle for any of these:

http://neue-arbeit-brockensammlung.d...er%20Jahre.JPG

http://www.hfmgv.org/museum/mia/toaster.jpg

Or mebbe this 'hi tech' one:

But I suspect you'd also go for this one:

Looks a bit like the Bicentennial Man from that film. Me, I read the
original story when I was 11 or 12. Much better. But not as funny.

Anyway I totally love Hello Kitty! I have Hello Kitty cards, 3
Hello Kitty necklaces and Hello Kitty cards. Cute Kitty!

As for the toasting problem, can't you just up the bias on one of
your valve amps and stick the bread on top?!

I'm sure your toast will taste far more open and transparent, with more
natural highs and a far better tastestage than toast made in a regular
toaster.

The trouble with Robin Williams is you've gotta be in the mood...
