Default Cyrus amp repair in Bristol?

My ancient Cyrus 2 has suddenly decided not to play anything through one
channel. Can anyone recommend a repair place in or around Bristol? Given
a choice I'd prefer someone who'll repair it 'in house' as opposed to send
it off for weeks

TIA

Have you checked the 2 internal fuses ?
The fuse for 1 channel might have blown for a reason but on one occasion I
think it just decided to let go on my old Cyrus 2 . I replaced both with new
& it was going again.

In that case, Stimpy's welcome to junk it in my direction - I'm collecting
'em.

I used to be a service engineer for 17 years for a Cyrus dealer in Gateshead
and there were very few problems with Cyrus 2's, the paint came off the
knobs and most of the problems were caused by the input selector switch
causing either 1 or 2 channels going off. From memory I believe the 3.15amp
fuses were the + and - supply rail fuses. Is it off on all inputs ? and have
you done the usual swappy around things ?
Cheers
Alec

Well not 'pride & joy' as such, but it's all the amp I need and, having had
it for something over 20 years, I don't particularly see the need to replace
it if it can be helped.

Thanks for replying.

Yup, the paint came off the knobs years ago ;-)

I've done the swappy around thing and it's happening on all inputs.
Jiggling the right speaker output seems to cause an intermittent signal
which suggests to me some sort of loose connection at the output socket?

Avon video on North Street, Bedminster ... they'll give you a quote for
repairs before you decide to proceed or not as the case may be.
