Default Making MP3s from BBC streaming

I would like to be able to create MP3 files from some BBC programmes (mainly
R4 speech) on their web site. I have Musicmatch so I feel there ought to be
a way of feeding the stream from RealPlayer (or similar) into the "Recorder"
of my MusicMatch programmes, giving an MP3 file.

I'm not sure if there is any copyright issues, but I doubt it since BBC are
already making available some of their programmes (eg R4's "In Our Time") as
straightforward MP3 downloads on an experimental basis.

Any advice on easy ways of doing this?

Thanks
Steve

I have used Totalrecorder to do exactly this for a couple of years now

Thanks for replies. I am pretty sure that MusicMatch can't do this, so I
reviewed the options mentioned by others in this thread. I ended up buying
Total Recorder and it seems to do everything I need, and all for USD12,
which is pretty cheap at current exchange reates!

The only odd issue is that it does not include by default an MP3 codec, but
very helpfully points me to a suitable public domain .DLL file which allows
MP3 encoding when added to the Total Recorder file folder. I assume there
are potential copyright and other legal issues which prevent Total Recorder
from including this file in their "as sold" software?

Anyway, it works a treat for what I wanted.

Steve
