That type of cast frame is the form that Goodmans (when they were still
a respected speaker company!) used for the later versions (around 1970)
of the Audiom 51/61 range and the Axiom 201/301. (If they are 12" that
is, the 15" unit was the Audiom 81)

These were the hi-fi versions with a plastic roll surround. Yours sound
like the PA versions with a plasticised corrugated paper cone
termination. Is this the case?

Yep, no plastic roll here. I remember seeing a couple of those back in the
eighties, they were some
double cone type.. the plastic was all wrinkled even they weren't that old
at the time.
So my speakers are of Audiom range, right?

Thanks

Simon

Audioms usually have a sign saying 'Audiom 12P' or something like that
though.

Think they'd be labelled as such if they were. Sounds like they're earlier.

I don't know. The early Axioms and Audioms used a cast chassis with
thicker curved ribs. The triple thin straight ones are the later type.

Can the original poster email me a pic? Preferably one of the cone
side, and one of the label?

I tried to email you, some mailing daemon bumped my mail back. Is the
address you use here valid?
Mine is, so if you use some other address you email me first if you don't
want to spread it around.
I only have pics from the label side.

Yes it's valid. I had the filter block emails longer than 300k though.
How big is the .jpg file?
