Default HELP! MP3 HELP!!!

I'm trying to divide a very large mp3 dance mix (which lasts 100 mins plus)

is, the PDF Help File is like a flamin' encyclopedia and I'm struggling to
extract the precise instructions from it for what I need to do.

Use WinAMP to play it into a WAV file and edit it with any large wave capable eudio
editor. When loaded in the editor just mark the sectio nyou want to have a disc 1
then save that selection to a WAV file. Then delete the sectoin in the editor and
mark the remaining audio and save that as another wav file. In your favourite
cdrwiter app make a cd using any of the two wav files.

WinAMPs filewriting utility will offer the ability to make a straightforward 44.1KHZ
16bit audio file in WAV format, which is what your cdwriter app expects.

Using mp3 format after editing and before writing the cds is utterly silly as you
will suffer more loss of audio.

Using CoolEditPro or CoolEdit with the mp3 filter, you can omit the WinAMP step
above.

Given the problem could probably be esily solved making a manually edited CUE file
per disc and using Nero or Exact Audio Extract but that the user of the solution is
asking for step by step directions I will leave such solutions as an experiment for
the experienced people here.

You're not alone - I have to relearn it every time, hardly intuitive. Is
there any better software for just this job?

The excellent (and free) MP3DirectCut: http://www.mpesch3.de/
