There is no support any more from Syntrillium and Adobe are not interesrted. I can record alright but havent found a way of adjusting the record level low enough to permit undistorted play in Winamp. I can do it all OK with Gold Wave but would like to get to grips with Cool Edit. Any help appreciated or if this is the wrong forum for this question, I apologise. Ian -- Ian Pollard//Wooler//Northumberland//UK ================================== Goto "Options" on the top menu bar, then choose "Window Mixer" Adjust the sliders as necessary (especially the "Line In" one.) See my methods with Cool Edit 2000 at: http://www.a-reny.com/iexplorer/restauration.html I have tried just about everything that I can think of. An interesting observation is that when I check OptionsMonitor Record Level. The two bars are constantly on the move at around 60% with no input signal. SNIP ================================= You mean -60 db not 60 % I suppose. That is the general noiseof your system. Nothing to be alarmed about. When you slide the "Line In" Control down to the botton it should slightly reduce this noise without suppressing it. No,it is around -45dB to -50dB. It only reduces very slightly as the line in slider is bottomed. Ian -- Ian Pollard//Wooler//Northumberland//UK |
