Default Another Nero question

Slightly off topic, but since there is a similar thread running....

I just fitted my new NEC 3500 DVD writer and would like to copy some of my
CDs to DVD, the idea being that I can get around eight CDs on one DVD and
save some shelf space. The writer came with Nero 6, which is also new to me
as I previously used version 5.5.

I intend to extract the WAVs using EAC but Nero 6 doesn't seem to offer the
option of writing these to DVD. Am I missing something basic or do I need a
different program?

Others will doubtless give a better explanation but in essence: it
doesn't work that way. You can copy wav files to a DVD, but that's all
they are - files. You need something to read them, and nothing outside a
computer will do this.

I think you might be trying to compile a DVD Audio disk. That's fine if
you have a DVD-A player, but the software remains quite expensive - it's
certainly not a feature of Nero. DiscWelder is tha app of choice I gather.

I'm not trying to compile a DVD Audio disk, Rob, just a 'big' CD. I use a
DVD player to play my CDs and thought it would play a compilation of WAVs
recorded onto a DVD-R. Nero lets you burn WMAs and MP3s onto DVD - but not
WAVs as far as I can see.

I found this: http://www.audio-dvd-creator.com but I've no idea whether I'll
lose quality.
