And moronic tubies like you keep insisting that single-ended class A
sounds better, by some magical means. You *tolerate* class AB because
that's the only way you can get a decent amount of power from that
obsolete tube technology. Class AB is regarded as a necessary evil,
not as a good thing in and of itself. Sheesh, whatta maroon!

If you are going to take issue even with a clown like 'Froot Loops' Jute I
suggest you stop and have a little think about what you are going to say.

How does the 'vaunted superiority' of Class A and the 'extra clout' of class
AB in valve amps differ *in any way* with that of ss amps, pray...???

It doesn't, but you don't see so many SS guys claiming that class A
sounds better. Some, certainly, but not that many. One might argue
that an engineer is someone who can achieve linearity from class AB
that any fool can achieve in class A............... :-)

IOW class A circuitry is inherently superior to class AB? ;-)

Plenty of manufacturers like MF are busting their buns to produce amps that
operate in 'fully Class A' conditions atm and it seems to be 'flavour of the
month/year/decade/century/millenium' in the comix these days....

Certainly, I'd argue that my class AB Audiolab 8000P and my class A
Krell KSA-50 mkII are not sonically distinguishable, and that the
Audiolab is therefore the better-engineered design.

And I can certainly argue that any perceived difference between my 'fully
Class A' KT88 amplifier and either of my AB Chinky Cheepies appears to
evaporate in less than 10 seconds of listening to either of them....

In terms of low-level linearity in real amplifiers, yes it is. Whether
that difference is *perceptible*, is another matter.
