Hope you will enjoy Jungle Jamboree.
The recording dates from 1930.

It takes only six bars to travel from jungle
clearing to Main Street, New Orleans.

This track has excellent solos, clarinet at 1m06
(Barny Bigard?) humorous and restrained, and
Arthur Whetsol - trumpet at 1m39s.

This is a Fats Waller composition, which may
explain the references to Sweet Georgia Brown
made by Bigard at 1m31, and Whetsol at 2m06s
from the 13th bar of his solo, and during the ensemble
before the coda, before returning to the jungle clearing.
Even Duke takes a (distant) solo at 2m15s

Very nice - but I wonder why he named it Jungle Jamboree. It isn't in
the least jungly.

That Duke solo sounds more like a kazoo than anything else... very
good.

Probably as with many compositions, the title was borne before the
tune.
