Default Internet Radio

First, a conundrum (American English):

Q: When is a 'router':

not a 'router'?

:-)

OK, now the serious question - networking my computers thus (with Broadband)
effectively turns one of them into a 'worldwide radio receiver' (or 'RX' as
some like to call it.... ;-) - anybody got any recommendations for 'good',
foreign Internet Radio stations? I'm particularly interested in stations
playing jazz, easy listening, Latin and *new* music - trance, techno,
chill-out etc. (not 'African' or teeny-pop), I've had a quick shufti and
there are literally thousands to choose from and so far only come up with
summat insipid called ContactFM from France....

Also are there any stations using a decent bitrate? What I have heard so far
is OK(ish) for background music but some of the bitrates are pretty low....

TIA
