You didn't seem to pick up the 'Dumky' joke without

Some joke:-((

"Dumky" = Daydreaming, pleasant thoughts, contemplating, idolising an
ideal - based on Slavonic expression used in CZ & Ukraine as 'Dreaming'

I have ascertained this from a note on a photocopy of the original score.

BTW, why would Dvorak have enjoyed the view in the village of Ashmore?

Another of your jokes, jibes, puns whatever you call them?
or a reference to Op.94? or maybe Rusalka?

Keep us in suspense, and tell us when you visit
a recording session.

Cordially,

Iain

Still too thick to pick up the point of a pun, eh? Here's a clue -
it's based on the *sound*, not the meaning. Of course, we know that
you have problems with sound, so I'll type it out for you:

Dumky = dumb key.

BTW, why would Dvorak have enjoyed the view in the village of Ashmore?

It's the highest village in Dorset, and has a fine view of Gold Hill
in Shaftesbury. Need any more clues? I thought you knew your
Dvorak........................

Pathetic:-((

I thought you were trying to make some intelligent observation
about the key of E minor.

Yes. My reply above is correct, although I typed Op94 instead of
95 for Sym09. NWS You did not comment upon Rusalka -
no hits from Google? :-))
