I just bought a Western Digital 160gb harddrive for $199 comes with a $100
rebate,
so $99 final price, which is 60 quid or there abouts, rip off Britain
anybody?

That sounds about right. Regrettably for people in the UK, this *rule*
sometimes applies to things made in the UK or on the continent.
