In a more enlightened age, the perpetrators of this scam would have been
burned at the stake.

It's almost like anybody who is stupid enough to fall for
this sort of crap deserves to lose their money.

Don't mock what you don't know - you obviously missed this bit:

"The atomic physics of the crystal structures in Brilliant Pebbles is
responsible for their amazing resonance control characteristics......"

(Although I suspect a pile of sand on top of the CDP would probably be more
effective - special 'Sonic Sand' mind you....!! :-)

Why am I suddenly thinking of launching into global sales of tiny coils (or
just lengths) of vintage Old Rope to beautify or enhance customers' audio
experiences?

You can laugh all you want. I bought some last month and the differences,
especially in the soundstage, is simply amazing. I don't understand how it
works, but I am not prone to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Cordially,

Here's how it works: You fall for a ridiculous scam, and spend a
significant sum of money on snake oil. Your brain now has two options:

1) Admit that it made a foolish error of judgement
2) Cover up said error by persuading you that the sound has actually
improved

Brains are proud, and will always go for 2).

I think you're all being totally unfair. I bought 7 of their "Clever Little
Clocks", which are "highly modified alarm clocks from various
manufacturers", last month, and found that the improvement in clarity when
listening to Pink Floyd's "Time" is stunning. From comparative tests, I'm
absolutely certain that I can hear no less than 7 sets of ticking and chimes
that were not discernable before I placed these superb devices around my
listening environment.

The effect IS variable I'll admit. The track mentioned above demonstrates
the capabilities to their full, probably because of the resonances set up by
the CD jewel case sitting in my carbon fibre and mud CD tower, but I can
also hear the regular tapping of the conductor's batten in classical music,
which I could not before.

Of course, rock music benefits more from the "Brilliant Pebbles", heavy
metal from the new product currently under test: "Lovely Lead", hip-hop from
"Beautiful Bone", garage from "Heavenly Half Used Can of Paint", swing from
"Nice Noose" and folk from "Awesome Ale". I've found nothing yet to make
jazz listenable, but I'm looking into "Wonderful Earwax"

You can mock, but..........................................

BTW, the part that brings home just how ridiculous this all is is when they
say that to test the clever little clock, you have to move it out of the
house, not just to another room, but NOT into "the family car" !!!!!!!!

So, if I move it to the front steps, I remove the effect, but if I take it
down the drive and put it in the car, the effect comes back? What about if I
get my wife to drive the car, with clock, to Asda? Or if I put it in my van
instead of my car, or even into a metal skip? Will it still work then?

The only reason you have to take it outside the house is to give you time to
forget exactly what you were hearing with the clock in the room, so you can
let your mind convince itself there is a difference!

I won't use the appropriate word here, but male dogs have two of them.
