This thread started off about Pebbles, not cables - my remarks are thus
directed to people who would be buying with possibly a higher degree of
scepticism and so, I would have thought (I don't know) would be far more
likely to keep the packaging and look after the goods than someone who was
already 'converted'...???

For someone to toss the packaging, crap the product up and then start to
squeal for a refund makes them more of a chancer in my book than the
vendor - let's keep it real....

It'd be interesting to hear from someone who's actually tried to return the
pebbles. They seam to make a big thing on their site about placement being
the key to success, so I wonder just how "no-quibble" their guarantee really
is? I also wonder how they are packed - it's a common trick nowadays to pack
something so that you HAVE to damage the packaging to get to the product,
and if your only complaint then is "it didn't meet my expectations", it can
be difficult to persuade the vendor to take it back. You tend to need very
specific, non-qualified claims before they'll relent, and the pebbles site
is very carefully written not to give those.

Anyone willing to risk a few quid to try it?

Of course cables are different, because the minute you cut them to length,
or even the store does, that's it, tough luck.

Forget damaged packaging, if the product's crap you can request a refund on
anything unless the product specifically states it must remain *unopened*
and *unused* for refund purposes - I believe some blank media was labelled
like that some time back and some items of clothing or products that get
pushed into body orifices...

bleeahh!

....as has been mentioned elsewhere...

Sure, the vendors are not as daft as the punters when it comes to wild,
unsubstantiated claims...

Noop.
