Default LP to CDR transfer

I've been transferring some old LPs to CDR via my PC using Audacity, the
set up I use works fine for me but I find it tiresome to split the wav for
each side of an LP into tracks. Does anyone know of a piece of software
(cheaper the better) which could be set to automatically create a split in
the wav file where a gap of say 2 seconds exist?

Steinberg Clean (or in it's Pinacle version) will do the job, as well
as clean up the disc for you. You will still have to listen to the
recording at around the track ends to place a marker, but thereafter
you just press a button and it will create the tracks with an
inter-track gap of your choice, two seconds by default.

RipVinyl will do the trick.

I use CDWave to record the file and then set track markers. CDWave will
produce a cue sheet that can be read by many decent CD burning programs
which removes the need to split files. This works with Nero, Feurio, EAC
and Plextools XL amongst others. The timing will be exactly the same as
the timing on the LP because CDWave produces a continuous file for the
whole recording. This is extremely useful if you are recording LP's where
one track fades into the next. You'll find CDWave at http://www.cdwave.com

Cheers

James.
