What I meant to say was that half the posts seem to be backbiting, character assasinations and personal vendettas against certain individuals. I am not sure how much truth there is floating about, but it doesn't seem to be much to do with audio. It isn't just this group - there seems to be a general decline in the quality and relevance of Usenet postings. Gelf |

Sure, some people have only posted here 4 times in the last 2 years - one blank, one to whine about falling standards, one to ask a question for help (which was answered without acknowledgement) and a general comment in response to one of my own posts. Anyone whose input level is that low is hardly breaking their neck to build this group into summat interesting, useful and worthwhile, are they? |

Anyone whose input level is that low is hardly breaking their neck to
build this group into summat interesting, useful and worthwhile, are they? What I and I'm sure a lot of others do is completely avoid the character assassination threads and just post about actual topics. This is the way to go - don't complain, just post. |

Way go, Andy. Nil carborundum. If Gelf wants to earn the right to complain let him contribute something useful or interesting, just like Keefie says, and let him swat PinkoStinko down everytime that sad sack tries to drain the glee from someone's hobby. More than earning him the right to complain, his *action* might make it unnecessary for him to complain. Andre Jute Sewer blaster |

Actually, I'm trying to retain the glee people might have in hi-fi as a hobby, by steering them away from incompetent blowhards such as yourself and Evans. -- Stewart Pinkerton | Music is Art - Audio is Engineering |
