Setting aside the mobile phone style presentation, the spelling and grammar, are awful. Is this really what our schools are turning out now ? At least the American guy's mail to you yesterday, was presentable, if a little flowery. Arfa |

Is this really what our schools are turning out now ? At least the American guy's mail to you yesterday, was presentable, if a little flowery. Yes, know what you mean. For some reason I take more badly with thicko posts here than I do with thicko emails - not everyone is a typist and at least they have made an effort to respond! (Although I reckon sloppy is as sloppy does....!!) As I said earlier, I get a fairly regular stream of emails from all over, due to the webpages and most of them are perfectly acceptable. The English guy also posted in HTML - that's an even bigger ****er than no capitals in my book! (Maybe the guy's shift key is busted - bit like the 'broken daisywheel printer joke': 'Ewar Woowar starring in The Wicker Man'..!! :-) The important thing is (****e-looking emails aside) is rolling the hobby along some - hobbyist 'audiophiles/enthusiasts' are a dying breed according to some sources (AV and iPods taking over kinda thing), the only mystery is why should I worry? I've already got more than enough kit and records I'll not live long enough to play!!?? |

Well the clue is in the word "killing". Just kill the threads you don't want to read. I do it all the time. There is only one person I have killfiled, and he has just stopped posting (in the other place) for the summer. further rant snipped - I'm losing interest....
