thinks 50 quid is going to deter Middle England from spending 75K on a 4
wheel drive!!??

(I *invented* 4 wheel drives in London - I wuz punting about London in a
Mercedes* G-Wagen *long* before the Sloane Rangers got 'em!! ;-)

*Steyr Puch with a Mercedes badge on it actually.....

Wot, no vinyl?

Whenever he puts a tax on something to "deter" it, he means he has
spotted yet another revenue stream.

I'm still doing my 4 wheel drive thing round London - when I'm not
doing my one wheel drive thing, that is.

Does it also have a "My other car is a Trabant" sticker?

I remember the looks I got when a mate and I drove around West 1
in a desert camouflage Unimog when I was a lad, towing a dirty
great cable drum. You didn't see many 4 wheel drives around in
those days. People were giving me "oh my god...we're at war" type
looks.

That thing was a complete pig to drive, especially in London. I'd love
to see them try to get a wheel clamp on one though :-)

Regards,

Glenn.

Nope - '£1 clearance' disks bought for me by a young friend, hence 'Mattias
Hellberg' (???) playing atm (for as long as I can stand it, which might be
for not much longer.....)

What's arsing me off with these clowns is how they only *tickle* problems
instead of solving them....

And a SWB Land-Rover - even the taxi drivers gave way for that!! :-)

No, but it did have my KG6545 number plate on it! (I wuz going through my
Naff Period - a bit like Pinky is now.... ;-)

Yebbut, if they solve them, they lose the cash.

Best taxi shifter I ever owned was a battered VW Kombi on Dutch
plates. That spare wheel on the front speaks volumes in the
intimidation game.

Does Stewart have a personal number plate?
I would think that PINK1 would raise a few smiles:-)
