Default iPod and Separates

I've got a Marantz PM4001 amp, and would like to connect my iPod to it.
Will I need some kind of pre-amp so as not to blow my amp/speakers -
or should it be OK?

Regards,

Ian

No, just get a mini jack to 2 RCA-Phono cable - I'd recommend Chord,
not expensive and nicely built.

Plug it into the aux/tuner/cd input- any but the phono stage (if it has
one)
