I've just retrieved from the loft my old TD160Mk11. Ah, a nice renovation
project I thought, until I switched it on and remembered why it was in the
loft. The motor is noisy - a little 'hummy' and a clicking noise very
evident with or without torque applied. Probably the bearings.
I'd still like to have a go at renovation - new lid and plinth, bitumen

here
bitumen there etc., but it would be useless without a silent motor.
Can anyone help - the approaching winter nights will last forever without
something to do. Cost no problem, as long as its cheapish and works as it
should :-)
Assistance would be gratefully accepted.
Regards
John
ps thanks to all contributors to my previous posting re lubrication for a
Garrard 401.
