Definitely a factory fit job! OTOH, I fitted an Alpine changer to my A4 for £150, and it took about half an hour - including metal-bashing to extend the bracket for the bigger changer. Forget using a changer. Get a head unit with an aux input and use a hard drive mp3 player. My 20G player holds just under 400 albums. Well, I guess that in a car environment, sound quality isn't really that much of an issue.................. no ****, sherlock. |

Possibly (or not), but the Bose upgrade system is specifically tailored to each Audi model, including preset multiband EQ. And $25 worth of speakers marked up 900%. No EQ can compensate for paper cone drivers and missing tweeters. And a functioning brain...................... grow up. I will when you do...... :-) Perhaps you're not aware that many of the best available speakers have paper cones, and that the Bose upgrade certainly does have tweeters? They have paper cones impregnated with a strengthening agent. Plain paper speakers are only seen on applications where spending more than $5 on a driver is deemed a waste, such as TVs =13", clock radios $30, PCs and bose. If you *had* a functioning brain, you'd be aware that Bose manufactures lots of weatherproof drivers for car audio, none of which have 'plain paper' cones. You'd also be aware of the fact that you conveniently sidestepped - Bose upgrades for Audis do have tweeters. Basically, you have no clue what you're talking about, which is pretty much SOP for you, TCS. -- Stewart Pinkerton | Music is Art - Audio is Engineering |

I have various different speakers with Kevlar, Bextrene(?), Polythene and
paper/pulp drivers. The paper cones are the most satisfying with 'my' type of music by far...... MMP works for me, at home. Car has paper. |
