Just bought one of these for a 2nd system but can't find much info on

it .
Anyone tell me what the difference is between the standard 965BX & the
Discrete
version ?
Just out of interest really.

**I presume you are referring to the LE (Limited Edition) version? The
standard 965 employed the usual, 5532/4 output ICs. The LE version

employed
separate output PCB populated with discrete transistors, instead of ICs.
Sound quality was somewhat better with the LE version, IMO. The price
difference was significant. Here in Australia, the extra cost was around
AUS$300.00 (100 Squid).

I used to own a 965BX and also demoed the Discrete version against it.
The former had a very airy quality, whereas the Discrete was more
punchy and incisive.

**Oh oh. You're gonna be in trouble for using descriptive language.
