I require the services of a technician, who is familiar with high end
amplification. I have a client who lives in London, whose amplifier
has
failed and I would like to refer him to a good tech who operates
in/near
London. I am very familiar with the product and am happy to guide the
tech
with fault finding and any short cuts for service. Ideally, the tech
would
have internet access (obviously). Whilst not incredibly complex, the
design
is unusual and usually baffles first-timers. The tech will deal with
my
client and be paid by him directly at his regular rates. Most
components
are
available from Farnell, but some specialised parts may need to be
airfreighted from Oz. An output stage failure (unlikely) will require
that
either closely matched parts will need to be supplied from Oz (1% on
hFE
and
Vbe), or the module freighted to and from Oz.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
What's the amplifier ?
I'm hardly a 'tech', some what above that but I'm near London.
**Did you receive my email?
Nothing on my posted hotmail addy yet. It may take an hour or so to arrive
though.
I'll get back to you.
**I've sent two emails to you. Dunno why they're not getting through.
Perhaps your ISP is blocking my domain.
Anyway, how much do you charge per hour and are you willing to follow
instructions (as I can save you a great deal of time when servicing this
particular product)? This should have the effect of saving my client some
money.
Replied directly via proper email !
