Default NAD T524 or NAD 521BEE or indeed something better ?

My much used and loved NAD 522 player has given up the ghost and I am in
the market for a replacement for it.

While I initially thought I would just get a NAD 521BEE to replace it,
while I was looking around, I came across the NAD T524, which is
available for £169 and looks to be very good value for money. Obviously
the T524 is primarily intended to be a video source, but it seems to
have a decent set of audio DAC's in it too (unlike its younger T514
brother), and given NAD's reputation for audio quality in much of the
rest of their T Series units, I would be surprised if it wasn't up to
scratch on the audio front. The T524 is also particularly attractive to
me, as it plays pretty much anything you would want to throw at it in
from both an audio and video perspective and would suit me very well as
a universal player.

So, has anyone got a T524 ? What's the verdict ?

I would be foolish if at this pricepoint, if I ignored the Cambridge
Audio Azur 540C V2, so I'd welcome views on that player against the NAD
521 and T524 too.

Additionally, I might be prepared to push the boat out a bit further
into NAD 542 and Cambridge Audio Azur 640C V2 territory, so any
opinions/views on those players would be welcome too, along with any
alternatives up to the £250 mark.
