Replacement cones in UK
Hi
Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK which sells replacement
loudspeaker cones,
I'm repairing a pair of Wharfedale E.FIFTYs and both base drivers could
do with a new cone, at a push I think I could get away with re-sticking
in the original cones, but they have deteriorated with the humidity
where they were being stored,
I've already contacted Wharfedale's service department, it seems if I
got to this job a year earlier I could have got the cones from them,
Kind regards
Danny

** Is it only the foam surrounds that have fallen to bits?
If so, lots of folk can replace them.
If not, then replacement drivers from Vifa, Seas or Peerless are the go.

Replacement cones in UK
Hi,
It is the adhesive that once secured the cones in place has decayed,
letting the coil scratch against the magnet etc,

Also, on closer inspection, the cone it's self is warped slightly, must
have the the time being left unused and the humidity alowing the cone
to deforem,

There are a few companies that will recone loudspeakers - I used to use
Loudspeaker Services in Waterlooville, Hampshire but I'm not sure if they
still exist.
Cheers
James.
