Any of you there in the UK know what's the deal with Lord Pinkerton??

Perhaps someone might ring him up??

Anyone remember his website URL??

No one on the US based audio groups seems to have seen him since an
abrupt disappearance back a few months ago...

Anyone??

How about this - anyone know approximately WHERE he lives?
I'll try to ring him up...

You folks are local by comparison, I'm in the bloodly USA.

No, Lord Pinkerton was not my friend, not even my internet friend, but
somehow I need to know if he is alive or dead, don't you?

He lives in Rempstone, a village in Nottinghamshire. His phone number
is 01509 880112, if anyone really needs to phone him. Just looked him
up in the BT online phone book.

Woah!!

Not sure I'd want my phone number plastered all over Audio Usenet....???

I'm not too worried - it is public domain, and anyone here can do what
I did - look in the phone book. If he was fussed, he'd be XD.

In the public domain is one thing, *advertised* on audio Usenet is another -
anybody wanting to make funny phone calls probably wouldn't have the nouse
to find his address and then make the quantum leap to finding a phone
number, but the problem is that it's no certainty Pinky would be the one
answering if somebody thought to call him....??

Let's face it, he's hardly made *loads* of friends on Usenet in the last few
years ...!!??

I tried to ring him from Oz last Sunday, struck his answering machine.
Feasible that he might screen calls.
He had been available, he might have picked up, we went to school together.

Thanks for the gallant effort...
Curious what he might have been like in his earlier days!

Should you make contact, perhaps it would be nice to know what the deal
is with him. Given his almost omnipresent state on this and other
newsgroups and that it seemed like someone yanked out his internet
connection suddenly, it gives one pause.

If you make contact, please let at least me know?

Thanks,

Dead or alive, the signs are he doesn't want to communicate.

Perhaps you could contact the local police station, in case there's
been foul play.

cheers, Ian
