We all love music on this ng. Some strive for perfection, some are so
busy
seeking fidelity they end up listening to the quality of the reproduction
rather than the music itself. Knew a guy once, long ago, who would play a
Shure cartridge test LP over and over:-) Does it matter if we have
valves,
transistors, washing boards or tea chests. Let's all ENJOY.
I agree. The equipment is incidental ( beyond some modest requirement )
but can
make the experience more rewarding when it's very good.
Heck, some of the most enjoyable musical experiences I can recall were in
the
damn CAR !'
In the back seat of course:-)
For a lot of people, a large outlay on a high.end system is not required.
They are happy with a modest system. These are fortunate people.
Others will probably never reach Nirvana.
I have a friend, a well-heeled surgeon, who used to change his system
more often than most of us change our socks. From the start of this
year he has been using a valve amp and a pair of open baffle speakers,
and is the happiest I have seen him for a long time.
Regards to all
