Got both them here, but not in any way practical - I need to be able to
'get right amongst it' - see:

- note the flapping trousers!! ;-)

Blimey Keith, no wonder you like horns, your hearing must be shot, I SAID
YOUR HEARING MUST BE SHOT.

EH? WHAT.....???

HALF PAST TWO....!!!

(Gives me a bit of a bone hearing them airplane engines that close, I don't
mind telling you!! :-)

I HAVE (oops, sorry, still shouting), a Fostex Pocketstudio 5 which is a
neat little device, though I don't suppose you would need the built in
drum 'n' bass.

Do you mean for sale? If so gimme a shout direct - although, what I really
want is ideally summat with XLR sockets and phantom power.

In a desperate attempt to force myself to get out and about more, I want to
record natural sounds for combining with instrumental music as well as
(possibly) being able to travel to anyone who can play summat nice that I
can use in a mix.....

(No-one will be safe, but Katherine Jenkins is playing reet hard to get atm:

- I think she doubts the *integrity* of my intentions...??!! :-)

Anyway, to give you an idea, here are a few examples of 'natural sounds'
being superbly blended with music:

Birdsong: http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/show/Superman.mp3

Wind and 'space': http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/show/Superman.mp3

Fairground: http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/show/Brighton.mp3

All been done a million times before I know, but that's no reason not to
have a go!!

;-)

While I'm on, I'm gagging to get hold of an mp3 of a tune from way back
called (I think) 'African Waltz' or 'African Safari' - it might have been
used on the soundtrack of The Strange World Of Gurney Slade, but anybody
would know it if I said it was always running through my mind when I was
riding the rails in the London Underground when I wuz a kid!

That and 'Mambo Italiano' instrumental only....??

Would be etrnally grateful for either or both!! :-)

OK - found it! :-)

It *is* African Waltz, but the version I want is a simple (solo?)
instrumental, not this (excellent) Cannonball Adderley version (Sample 6)

(Amazing what ya kind find on the Net these days, innit? :-)
