Hi guys,

I got my newletter from Russ Andrews and there is a sale on for their
power blocks. Please check the following link -

http://tinyurl.com/y3bzb8

I want to know if -

1. Anyone on here has used them and noticed any change in sound
quality.

Don't be silly. I m amazed trading standards haven't investigated such
claims. An external mains lead is nothing to do with the design of amp
stages or speakers.

If a mains cable *does* alter the behaviour of the amp, then I'd recommend
worrying that either the amp, or the cables, have a serious fault or defect
and should be replaced.

I am a bit concerned before buying as unfortunately we do not have any
outlets for Kimbers in Australia and the thing costs around AUD $400.

They are a victim of advertising the same way people in this group are.

Which people on this group are you referring to? My impression is that most
people posting here would not take such cables seriously. :-)

Slainte,

Jim

My Silencer Block arrived this morning. Plugged in straight away and played
My iPod through its mains thingy. What a staggering difference. I take my
hat of to Mr Andrews for a phenomenal invention. The iPod sounded ten times
better than my friends valve amp setup costing thousands. The dynamic range
was vastly improved. The clarity of the high notes was superb. The bass was
something to be heard to be believed. WONDERFUL.

**Long story. My web hosting guy decided to close his business, without
informing any clients. I had to frantically search for a new guy, sign up
and get my emails back in operation. I need to access another computer and
hard drive, which has my web pages stored on it. Unfortunately, the
processor, motherboard or memory has gone belly-up on that computer and I
haven't had the time to get things working properly.
