Yes, if it cheaper to not need a new ADC and *maybe* get better results
using the Arcam ADC.


Arcam is home cinema stuff, isn't it? I doubt it has anything special
in the ADC department.


My Arcam Alpha 9 CD player has what is probably the best DAC yet made.
It is a ring DAC, and has an adaptive reconstruction filter that
changes depending on the signal currently being processed.

What this means in practice, of course, is that it sounds no different
than any other halfway decent CD player.
