Default bi-wire confused

I have a Cambridge C500 and two P500s driving a set of Tannoy 611's

I recently had a failure on one of the P500s, so dropped down to a single
P500, on top of that it appears now I have lost one of the 6" cones in one
of the Tannoys.

Anyhow, and it shows how much I noticed. When re-wiring the speakers I
noticed that I didn't get anything from the +L -L, and its not just on the
one speaker, its the same on both.

The Biwire links are removed.

I tested the speaker posts on the P500 with an old speaker and got signal
from both sets of speaker connections.

With the biwire links put back, I get a healthy sound through both the + and
the - wires individually.

I'm stumped. It must have been like that all along, the sounds ok, unless
I've blow both speakers in the same manor.

I cant be doing anything wrong can I?

Tim
