Folks,

My daughter decided to have a chew on the mic cover of the headset we
use for videoconferencing.

I can't believe that these are not available to buy in generic form,
but my Google searches have so far only revealed large 40mm sizes.
This one would have to be closer to 8-12mm.

I'm in the UK and would appreciate being pointed in either a dot.com
or brick and mortar direction please.

Bend the arm so the mic is round by your cheek where air blasts from
your nose and mouth can't reach it. You then won't need the cover, and
you will have the bonus that it sounds a million times better.

Thanks for all your tips guys. I am originally from Canada and Radio
Shack did often have all the things I needed that were a bit off the
beaten track. The gizmo. And yes, it is the MIC cover I need, not
the earbud cover which I can find in plentitude online..

I have made a Tiny Url as a link to an approximate model. The opening
diameter of the foam cover is no more than 10 mm.

This vendor sells more different shapes, sizes and colors
of foam windscreens than anybody I have found online...

Note that there are at least two types of small
headset-style products at the bottom of the page.

The things weigh almost nothing.
They could throw one in an envelope
and send it by snail-mail for a few pence.

Now, what _I_ want is a company that makes a similar selection of headphone
foam covers.

For example, I have a bunch of old communications headsets which take
kidney-shaped and square earpads... can't find anything off the shelf
that fits. And I have Sony MDR V-4 sets, which use a pad that falls
apart after a short amount of time, which I'd like to replace with a
Sennheiser-style open foam pad.
