Likely the damping effect of the Plasrticene was more important than
the mass.

Er, damping is a function of mass...

Er, no it isn't....

Church bells are pretty massive!

Good example, I suspect he was thinking of inertia, not damping, two
different things. Inertia will however have a effect on any resonance
frequency (tries to remember applied maths lectures).

Thats resonance, not damping.

Everything has a natural resonant frequency, and bells try to avoid
damping that resonannce, i.e. they have a high 'Q'. Mass has *nothing*
to do with damping, which is a resistive function.

You continual rantings about 'Snake Oil' constantly overlook the fact
that the Placebo Effect cannot be discounted when other people
happily spend their money on things *you* might consider poor value
for money.

That's OUR argument - that the placebo effect cannot be discounted.

OK folks, I'm busy raking up leaves and it's buggin' me - who's this tit

His family? He and his little dingly mate? Merkins generally??

(Or have I just been suckered into revealing that I don't have anybody KF'd

Not my favorite website, but I'm sure I do lots of things he's not
interested in either.
