'Designed to accept a DAB radio input'...
Well that's what it says on the blurb:-
http://planet.farnell.com/email/cpc/...july_11blp.htm
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what it means?
Wonder what's new about it too - looks like all the other AS stuff I've
ever seen.

It means that there's a pair of phono sockets on the back, and a
corresponding button on the front, labelled "DAB".
Wonder what's new about it too - looks like all the other AS stuff I've

It's "new" in that it has the "DAB" button!
David.

An input labelled DAB to match a DAB receiver (maybe also sold by this mob.)

Right. Given they sell a combined DAB/FM tuner seems a bit pointless?

Yup, they should have labelled it "DAB/FM" ... but FM maybe sounded too
old hat ..

There's already an input labelled 'tuner'.
Methinks the marketing department have had their way again. ;-)

Maybe it's designed for the idiots who think DAB with low bitrates is better
than FM stereo.
It might transform the sound in a magical way!

A 'de-bubbler' circuit?
Martian Noise Reduction?

Difficult to say, really. But I see it also has "Line inputs for
phono", so it could mean anything. Their grasp on technology seems
rather tenuous.
